Homepage & Guide

•    StandApart is first and foremost a production company supporting a not for profit organization designed to provide a resource
to young people at risk and ex-offenders hoping to develop skills in the creative arts in Greater Manchester and the North West.

•    We aim to bring together individuals looking for experience with voluntary organisations, educational institutions and people interested in passing on
      their experience and expertise.

•    The non-profit organization's primary objective will be to showcase the facilities offered by groups such as Intermission, LSW Prison Project, various film and television Meet-up groups                       and organisations such as The National Film and Television School. As part of this plan, Lez Barstow has taken over organization of the Manchester Writers Meetup Group and offers free advice          and expertise to budding talent.

•    Our contributors will consist exclusively of new writers, filmmakers and performers showcasing their own work which will include films, music,
     photography and short stories.

     Registration will be free.

•    The website will comprise:

o    A Northwest database of training providers.
o    An Internet TV channel
o    At least two Internet Radio Channels (Music/Spoken Word)
o    A section for scripts, manuscripts and images.

•    Our four main target areas will be:
o    Training organisations
o    Prospective contributors
o    Broadcasters, Producers and other professionals on the look-out for
      new talent
o    Members of the wider community looking for entertainment and wishing
      to patronise our cause.

•    When it expands nationally, StandApart eventually aims to generate income
which will enable it to become self-sustaining. This will come from advertising,
sponsorship, voluntary donations and affiliate sales.

•    Stand-Apart.com is in the process of securing initial funding and
is keen to form partnerships with interested parties.
