Our team is highly experienced in the areas of the media,
education, writing, music, film and telelvision.

Key People:

Name: Lez Barstow
Position: Founder and Director

Background: Lez Barstow has been actively involved in the arts and
media since graduating from art college in 1964. In 1972, Lez completed
a course in film making at Hornsey College of Art and from 1979 to 1984
worked as a Writer and Executive Producer with the then Manpower
Services Commission.

In 1984, Lez formed his own production company and produced and
directed projects for clients as diverse as the UK Ministry of Defence, Sony
Music, BNFL, Britsh Airways, Heinemann Publishing and Spode Potteries
to name just a few.

Name: Colin Parry
Position: Webmaster

Background:Colin's career in the entertainment business is extensive
(and includes both performance and work behind the scenes). Colin has
worked in the UK and US. His clients have included Baby Cow, Target
Television and Buzz Hawkins.

Name: John Mayfield
Position: Music Industry Consultant

Background: Since performing in a number of bands from the early 1980s,
John has moved into composing and recording music ranging from film
soundtracks to orchestral pieces. In 1990, John was offered a position with
Robert Nichol Audio Productions and between 1990 and 1997 recorded almost
2000 titles for some of the UK's most prestigious clients including the BBC.

In 2004, John founded Audio Book Radio Limited of which he is currently a
director.


Name: Tony Makin
Position: Disability Consultant

Background: Tony and Lez met whist studying Education at Manchester's
Mather College in the 1960s. Tony possesses a B.Ed Hons, a Combined
Certificate in Counselling and a Post Graduate Diploma in Disability Studies.
He is Vice Chair of the Committee for Disability Issues of the British
Association  for Counselling & Psychotherapy.

Tony also serves on the Executive of the Labour Party Disabled Members
Group
and has played an important role in raising disability awareness within
the Trades Union Movement, the Labour Party and the community as a whole.

Tony has organized a number of music events in support of the charity Oxfam
and enjoys working with up and coming young musicians in the Northwest.
